When do I refer an injured worker to the Activity Coaching program?
When your injured worker has a longer than expected recovery time (more than 4 weeks after work injury) AND has not improved with early interventions (i.e. active physical therapy).
Treatment Process

Activity coach uses the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) to help the patient regain control of their life and increase participation in daily activities.

The patient and activity coach meet weekly for an hour for up to 10 sessions.

The program's initial stages focus on structured activity to help the patient resume activities.

The program's final stages focus on activities that facilitate re-integration into the workplace.
